An Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 13 or later, and the Codex CLI signed in with your ChatGPT account. Needs You and Bookmarks also require the Codex desktop app and its default local data directory. Intel Macs and custom CODEX_HOME directories aren’t supported in this preview.
Choose Download for Mac to open GitHub Releases, then download the ZIP from the newest preview release. Extract it and move Nibby.app to Applications. The repository is currently private, so you need GitHub access to see the releases. This preview is ad-hoc signed and is not Apple-notarized.
No. Nibby is an independent, unofficial companion for Codex, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.
Usage comes from your installed Codex CLI. Task status and bookmarks use local Codex desktop data. Nibby also checks a public reset-news endpoint without sending account, usage, or task data. Needs You covers local interactive tasks, not remote hosts or ChatGPT chats.
